Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Healthy roots Extra Virgin Almond Oil
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2 tbsp white vinegar
  • 6 drops hot pepper sauce (optional)
  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds
  • 4 cups baby spinach
  • 3/4 cup parsley (chopped)
  • 11 can mandarin oranges (drained)
  • 1/2 cup chickpeas (optional) cooked/sliced

Method

For the dressing, combine Kissan Almond Oil, sugar, salt, white vinegar, hot pepper sauce in a tightly covered jar or bowl.

  • Shake or whisk well to mix. Set aside.
  • In a skillet, combine almonds and sugar.
  • Cook over low heat.
  • Stir constantly until sugar is melted and almonds are coated and lightly browned (5 to 8 minutes).
  • Spread cooked almonds on waxed paper and let it cool completely.
  • Pour dressing salads on greens, drained mandarin oranges, and cooked almonds.

Apple Bread With Sweet Almond Oil Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cups spelt flour (for a gluten-free option, use 2 cups of gluten-free mix flour)
  • 1 cup coconut sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp ground turmeric
  • 2 tsp Health roots Almond Oil
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup apple sauce
  • Teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup sweetened almond milk
  • 3 sliced dates, for garnish
  • 1 tsp crushed almonds, for garnish

Method

  • Firstly, preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F), and grease and flour a 4×8-inch loaf pan.
  • Secondly, in a large bowl, combine all the dried ingredients: flour, coconut sugar, baking powder, turmeric and salt. Give it a good stir.
  • Meanwhile, now it’s time to add the wet ingredients: apple sauce, lemon zest, apple cider vinegar, and almond milk. If your flour absorbs too much liquid, add some extra milk.
  • Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan and garnish with dates and almonds. Bake for 20-30 minutes at 180°C (350°F), or until a tester inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • In conclusion, remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for a few minutes. Then remove the bread from the pan and let cool completely before serving. Slice, serve and enjoy!
