HOW IS COLD PRESSED OIL DIFFERENT FROM REFINED OIL?

1. Cold Pressed Oil

  • Cold pressing is a method where the seeds or nuts are crushed until the oil is obtained. It is purely a mechanical process and does not involve chemical intervention. Heat is not intentionally introduced during the process so it retains the quality and the nutritional benefits of the oil. The only low-temperature heat produced is caused by friction from the crushing of seeds or nuts. The extraction process is completely natural.
  • The process for extraction is the same for all cold-pressed oils. Sunflower seeds are dehulled and then any foreign objects that are present, are removed before oil is extracted.

2. Refined oil

  • Whereas refined sunflower oil is extracted by using hexane like solvents and other chemicals that are harmful to health thus these sunflower oils don’t have all the proposed health benefits.

HOW TO STORE COLD PRESSED SUNFLOWER OIL?

  • Store sunflower oil in a cool, dark place with the lid tightly closed and away from direct sunlight that may cause rancidity. It can also be stored in the fridge if the bottle is not opened.
  • Cold Pressed Sunflower Oil has a shelf life of up to six months. Throw away the oil that smells bad, or has mold growth.

  • If you are googling Cold Pressed Sunflower Oil Near Me you will see multiple results.
